If you've read my blog for a while, you know that:
a) I live in Calabria, Italy.
b) I am an expat coach.
And while I guide women through both the emotions and logistics they're going to encounter on their journey, something interesting has happened.
Women like me want to move to Calabria.
Sometimes it's because they have Italian roots down south. Other times, they tell me it's because I describe it so well here on my blog.
Either way, I'm thrilled that they're coming. And this has birthed a new line of business for me!
Accommodations, Red Tape, Settling In
I, along with my business partner Dora from Go Go Calabria, have launched our new relocation services for Calabria, Italy.
That means that we can help you find a home (not available for all parts of Calabria, but just ask and we'll point you to someone who can help if we can't). If you aren't able to come to see the homes in person, we will film video tours for you, tell you what's in the neighborhood, and give you a sense of what living there would be like (do you need a car? where's the nearest grocery store?).
Once you arrive, we can help you with the red tape you're going to have to go through, whether you're already a dual citizen or are an expat. We'll help you file your application for the permesso di soggiorno, your carta di residenza, and your tessera sanitaria.
We can also guide you in choosing the best phone plan and internet service!
If you plan to move to Soverato or the surrounding area, we can offer even more personalized services. If you need Italian lessons, we've got you covered. We'll point you in the right direction to the best nail salon, dry cleaner, restaurant, grocery store...you name it.
And we'll even take you for your first big grocery run so you can get stocked up on pasta and prosecco!
What Clients Are Saying
Trust me: you're going to need help with your move, and if we can lessen the stress for you even a little bit, we've done our job.
We recently helped Gina, a California girl, settle into her new life in Soverato. Here's what she had to say:
Ciao a tutti,
Just wanted to share a tip on my easy transition from the US to Calabria: I used Go Go Calabria.
Go Go Calabria is such a great resource if you're a little unsure of where to go or how to do it. I met Su and Dora, who have taken my bewildered questions and turned them into the answers I needed to find my way around Calabria.
Not only are they great at setting up tours, events, and showing you the hot spots, but they also gave me great insight into the Italian way of life and how to navigate the ins and outs of getting the right paperwork, finding internet, getting a phone number, and where to get Italian lessons (a must if you plan to live here).
I've met so many great people through Go Go Calabria who just want to help you see why they love their town so much. I found an apartment, made homemade wine, and shared many meals with new friends all because I reached out to Go Go Calabria. Thank you so much Su and Dora, for making my dream of Italy come true.
Gina
