After chatting with one of these surfers for a few minutes about where to spot elephant seals, he asked where we were from.
“San Diego,” said Lori.
“Oh! Daygo! I love surfing down there!” he replied.
“Wait…what? Where?” I asked, confused.
“Oh, San Diego. Us lazy folks call it Daygo.”
Lori and I looked at each other and laughed. Who knew?
